After interviewing over 100 prospective college students and their parents, my cofounders and I learned that the typical one-size-fits-all tours that schools offered did not give students an accurate sense of whether or not they would actually enjoy attending that school. These tours almost exclusively focused on the same aspects of campus (study spaces, historic buildings, and athletic facilities) but neglected showing the aspects of campus life that actually matter: on and off campus housing, major buildings, and the social scene.
